Who Is Mark Shapiro
Mark Shapiro built one of the largest multifamily real estate portfolios in the country — 25,000 apartment units, 4,000 condos, five states. He was convicted of financial crimes in the early 2000s and served 15 years in federal prison. He spent those years teaching other inmates real estate investing, personal finance, and the mindset required to rebuild from nothing.
He was granted a presidential commutation in 2020.
